Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
With the current health status of Douglas County, we are able to hold in-person services at Holy Cross.
In order to do so, we have been instructed by our Bishop, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos, to conduct ourselves in accordance with government regulations as well as the guidelines developed by the Metropolis. We do not do this out of fear, but out of love for others. Obedience is a hallmark of Orthodox believers, and so we are also joyfully obedient to the guidance of our Bishop.
Things will look a little different for a while: We have a sign-up for attending services, there’s been re-arranging of chairs and furniture, and we have guidelines to share.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask! This is a challenging time, but with prayer, patience, and love we can make this work.
We are asking all parishioners and guests to read through the Overview, Guidelines, and FAQ before attending a service.
